Hogg Middle School Library and Mrs. Cannon’s 8th grade students have started the "Adopt a Library Shelf Program".  Students are taking pride in their school library and adopting a certain shelf in the library. The students come in and make sure their shelf is in order and neatly arranged.  The student’s name and picture is placed above the shelf letting other students know they adopted the shelf.

Mrs. Cannon’s class comes in once a week (for about 10 minutes) to spend time getting the books on their shelf in order and shelving other books which belong in “their” section. They also come in on their own, when they can spare a moment.

This program has been a success and other students want to join the Adopt a Shelf Program. Taking pride in your school and school library is one of the many “life lessons” taught at Hogg M.S.
