Board Update

·        A & E Consultants

 

A.     Barham Architects presented final color boards to Bell and Ramey Elementary Schools on August 30th and 31st.  Both campus committees approved the boards as presented.

 

B.     Barham Architects is providing Construction Administration services throughout the project duration.

 

C.     EHRC Architects is reviewing shop drawings and submittals in anticipation of construction starting in mid-September.

 

·        Construction Projects

 

A.                 Henry M. Bell Elementary School – New Construction

 

a.       Work Completed 

Earthwork is 98% complete.  Excavation and installation of the spread footer and grade beam in Areas “B”, “C”, are complete.   Underground plumbing is complete in Area “A”, “B”, “C”.  Water and Sanitary Sewer is complete outside the building.  

 

b.      Work in Progress

Spread footer and foundation wall placement in Area “D” and “E” is in progress. Storm sewer outside the building is in progress. Underground electrical is in progress in Area “A”, and “B”.  Submittals are being turned in on schedule.

 

c.       3-Week Look Ahead

Under slab plumbing and electrical will continue.  Masons will complete footings in Areas “D”, and “E”.  Slabs for Area’s “A” and “B” will be poured.

B.                 Ramey Elementary School

 

a.       Work Completed

Earthwork is 95% complete.   

 

b.      Work in Progress

Installation of the retaining wall has begun.  Installation of perimeter footings in Area “A” is in progress.  Domestic fire, water line and sanitary sewer are in progress.  Paving of Garden Valley is 10% complete.

 

c.       3-Week Look Ahead

Installation of retaining wall will continue.  Utility work will continue.  Concrete foundation work will continue.  Masonry foundation wall will continue.  Under slab plumbing and electrical will commence.

C.                 Rice/Owens Relief Campus – awaiting written Department of Justice approval to begin civil package.
