Congratulations to La’Cariah Rose, a 4th grade student at Clarkston Elementary School, for being named the District Elementary Student of the Month.

La’Cariah has an exceptional work ethic and a heart full of kindness! She stands out for her dedication to learning and her innovative spirit. She recently demonstrated her creativity by designing a division math game for her teacher’s small group centers. From planning to execution, La’Cariah took the initiative to create an engaging tool that benefits her classmates.

Beyond academics, La’Cariah is a natural leader among her peers. She frequently assists others by breaking down complex math problems into manageable steps, ensuring her classmates feel supported in their learning journey.

Her willingness to lend a helping hand extends to her teachers as well. Whether she’s passing out papers, organizing classroom materials, or sharpening pencils during lunch with her teacher, La’Cariah consistently finds ways to contribute to the classroom community.

Described as a student with a kind and helpful heart, La’Cariah embodies the values of hard work, collaboration, and compassion. Clarkston Elementary and Tyler ISD are proud to celebrate her achievements and leadership. Congratulations, La’Cariah, for being a shining example of excellence and kindness!

The Tyler ISD District Students of the Month each receive a certificate and medal, sponsored by CHRISTUS Trinity Mother Frances Health System.

Each month, Tyler ISD recognizes the exemplary efforts of two students, one from our elementary schools and one from our secondary schools, to be honored. Teachers and school principals submit nominations based on students' excellence in many areas, including academics, leadership, campus, and community involvement. These outstanding qualities lead to successful student outcomes both in and outside of the classroom.
