Welcome to Moore Middle School
We are the Math, Science, and Technology School that is also a comprehensive middle school.
That's a little confusing, we know.
So we want to break it down.
Moore has always been a comprehensive middle school, just like Boulter, Hubbard, and Three Lakes middle schools. In 1999, Tyler ISD created a magnet STEM program within our school that students inside and outside of the school zone can apply to attend. Our school had the best technology in the region, with computers in every classroom, and we offered high school Algebra in 7th grade, which was unheard of in 1999.
The important part to remember is that we are not a school within a school. There is not a sectioned-off portion of the school for only magnet students. Instead, those students are blended with zoned students in multiple courses and electives. That is the unique part about us.
We are proud to offer a specialized magnet school experience with all the benefits of a comprehensive middle school setting.

A Culture of Excellence
Exemplary schools teach students to be successful in life, and as the largest middle school campus in the district, with over 1,070 very diverse students, we take this extremely seriously. We understand what our potential impact can be. Our goal will always be to provide a rich environment full of diverse experiences for your child to participate in and succeed in.
Our students embrace the culture, and their demeanors often change when attending our school based on the standard of student achievement.
We believe that the experiences they receive on campus will serve them well, all while developing college portfolios and future work resumes.
Proven History of Excellence
Our Teachers Love What They Do
Our teachers have high expectations for students, but even more for fellow teachers. It takes everyone to create a successful student outcome, and you will find that our teachers hold each other to a higher standard which sparks the best in everyone.
With such high expectations, new teachers that come to Moore can sometimes struggle with the higher performance goals. To assist with their success, we implemented a Campus Mentor Program for all first, second, and third-year teachers at our school to make the transition easy.
