Red Day

Owens Elementary School is embracing the color red this Dyslexia Awareness Month as a vibrant symbol of support for our students who face the challenges of dyslexia every day. Our dedicated staff and enthusiastic students are wearing red to raise awareness and show solidarity for those who may struggle with reading and writing due to dyslexia.

By wearing red, our staff members are not only demonstrating their commitment to creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment but also setting an example for our young learners. When students see their teachers and school staff proudly wearing red, it sends a powerful message that we are all in this together.

For our students, wearing red is an opportunity to learn about dyslexia, foster empathy, and celebrate the unique strengths and talents of their peers. It encourages open conversations about learning differences, promotes understanding, and reinforces the importance of supporting one another.

Owens Elementary is not just a school; it's a community where everyone belongs and thrives. As we wear red throughout Dyslexia Awareness Month, we stand united in our commitment to ensuring that every student has the opportunity to succeed, regardless of their learning differences. Together, we are making a positive impact and spreading awareness about dyslexia, one red outfit at a time.
