Dear Rice Elementary Community,

As the principal of Rice Elementary, I am honored to welcome you to another school year. As a former student and proud parent of both a current and a former Rice Ranger, I cherish the opportunity to help the Rice students and staff continue to GROW! Here at Rice, our motto is "Positively Impacting the World," and our focus is creating leaders who can problem-solve in the 21st century. Our goal is to grow each and every student through data-driven small-group instruction.

As part of the Leader in Me program, we cultivate students' leadership skills by focusing on the 7 Habits of Happy Kids. These habits are woven throughout our curriculum, and we encourage you to reinforce them at home. The habits include:

We value a strong partnership between home, community, and school. I encourage you to get involved with our PTA and reach out to your student's teacher to stay informed about what is happening at school. We send out the Weekly Ranger by text and the monthly Ranger Report by email to ensure that you are aware of what is happening on campus and opportunities for you to volunteer as you are able. Please get in touch with the office to update your preferences if you are not receiving these messages.

Our top priority is student safety. This means we have several policies and procedures to ensure that our students are safe and secure at all times. We appreciate you supporting us by always following these policies and procedures to maintain all students' safety.
