Pre-K & Head Start Registration (Income-Based)

• Proceed to Online Registration

• For Campus Name, choose "Tyler ISD Pre-K & Headstart" and then indicate your preferred campus on the appropriate form;

• Upload the following documents to verify eligibility:

  • Current Parent/Guardian Photo ID for enrolling parent;

  • Child's Birth Certificate or official documentation of birth;

  • Proof of Income (One of the following: current year tax return, recent check stub, W2, SSI/SSA, TANF, current year child support);

  • Current Proof of Address (one of the following: (electric, gas, water or lease agreement;

  • Child's Social Security Card;

  • Child's Current Immunization Records.

• If you cannot upload the documents, please place them into an envelope labeled with the child’s full name. You may drop the envelope into the secured and locked Pre-K/Head Start Drop Box located at the Plyler Complex, 807 W. Glenwood Blvd.

Parents will be contacted by phone and/or email if additional information or documents are needed. Letters will be sent out before we dismiss for the summer indicating your child’s placement. Placement is based on the program, class availability, and student needs. 

Tuition-Based Pre-K

• Proceed to Online Registration

• For Campus Name, choose "Tyler ISD Pre-K & Head Start" and then indicate your preferred campus on the appropriate form;

• Upload the following documents:

  • Birth Certificate for each student;

  • Social Security Card for each student;

  • Current Immunization Records for each student;

  • Proof of Residency (water bill, electric bill, etc. in the parent/guardian's name);

  • Current Parent/Guardian Photo ID.

• If you cannot upload the documents, campus staff will contact you for additional information;

• Registration is not considered complete until a deposit of $150 is made as directed;

• Available Tuition-based Pre-K spots are limited at each campus (Birdwell, Jack, Owens, Rice & Woods).
