Congratulations to Alexa Anderson, a freshman at Early College High School, for being named the District Secondary Student of the Month for November.
Alexa is a motivated and determined student who currently has the highest score in her biology class. While Alexa is very dedicated to academics, she does not shy away from helping other students when they need it.
Her science teacher stated that she is always ready to participate in class with pertinent questions and is willing to share thoughtful answers. Although she still has a few years to go, Alexa already has a vision for her future, including attending the University of Pennsylvania, which is why she chose the challenge of being an Early College High School student.
The Tyler ISD District Students of the Month each receive a certificate and medal, sponsored by CHRISTUS Trinity Mother Frances Health System.
Each month, Tyler ISD recognizes the exemplary efforts of two students, one from our elementary schools and one from our secondary schools, to be honored. Teachers and school principals submit nominations based on students' excellence in many areas, including academics, leadership, campus, and community involvement. These outstanding qualities lead to successful student outcomes both in and outside of the classroom.
