The festive spirit took over the Early College High School cafeteria as it underwent a delightful transformation into a sweet shop for the school's highly anticipated annual gingerbread house decorating contest. The event, sponsored by the National Honor Society, has become a beloved tradition that not only showcases the students' artistic talents but also fosters a sense of community within the school.
Student groups, comprised of 2 to 4 members, eagerly collaborated to turn plain gingerbread into edible masterpieces. Laughter and creativity filled the air as participants worked diligently to design and decorate the most captivating gingerbread houses, all while indulging in cookies and sipping on warm cocoa.
As part of the festivities, students and staff had the exciting responsibility of voting for their favorite gingerbread house. The competition was fierce, with first, second, and third-place honors up for grabs along with bragging rights and recognition for their creative prowess. The winners are:
1st- Emily Camacho, Lil Amaya, Isabella Gauna and Ingrid Cisneros-Martinez
2nd- Zully Torres, Dennise Duran, Alexa Uribe and Daniella Reyes
3rd - Alondra Villa, Josselyn Vega and Maddison Vega
In the spirit of holiday cheer and creativity, the ECHS gingerbread house decorating contest continues to be a cherished tradition, bringing joy and excitement to students and staff alike.
