Dr. NaTasha Crain, Principal of Jones Elementary School, has been honored with the prestigious title of the 2024 Texas Alliance of Black School Educators (TABSE) Principal of the Year. This distinguished recognition is a testament to Dr. Crain's exceptional leadership and unwavering commitment to educational excellence.

β€œI am so grateful to the Texas Alliance of Black School Educators for this esteemed recognition of Principal of the Year,” Crain said. β€œIt is a privilege to be affirmed in this space and to have my work and service acknowledged in such a meaningful way. This award is not only a personal achievement, but also a testament of the collective efforts of our entire school community at Jones Elementary in Tyler ISD.”

The announcement was made during the 39th Annual TABSE Conference, themed "Leveling Up and Leading the Way," held on March 2, 2024. Educators from across the state gathered at the conference, which provided an enriching platform featuring dynamic speakers and invaluable networking opportunities for personal and professional growth.

Texas Alliance of Black School Educators highlighted Dr. Crain's remarkable contributions to the field of education during the conference, where she also served as a distinguished presenter. Her presentation, "Implementing Social Emotional Learning through Culturally Relevant Pedagogy," resonated deeply with attendees, showcasing her innovative approach to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
