Congratulations to Cal Wright, a 6th grade student at Three Lakes Middle School, for being named the District Secondary Student of the Month for March.
In just a short time, Cal has become a shining star in his math class. His growth in abilities and confidence is remarkable, and it's all thanks to his positive attitude and infectious smile. Even on tough days when he's dealing with personal challenges, Cal never lets it dampen his spirit or work ethic.
What sets Cal apart is his unwavering commitment to giving his best every single day. He's not afraid to speak up when he's confused or to lend a helping hand to classmates who are struggling. His willingness to step forward and offer suggestions for improving the class dynamic shows maturity beyond his years.
Cal's positive influence extends beyond academic matters. He exemplifies the qualities of a model student, demonstrating empathy, teamwork, and a genuine desire to see everyone succeed.
The Tyler ISD District Students of the Month each receive a certificate and medal, sponsored by CHRISTUS Trinity Mother Frances Health System.
Each month, Tyler ISD recognizes the exemplary efforts of two students, one from our elementary schools and one from our secondary schools, to be honored. Teachers and school principals submit nominations based on students' excellence in many areas, including academics, leadership, campus, and community involvement. These outstanding qualities lead to successful student outcomes both in and outside of the classroom.
