Four Tyler Legacy High School senior athletes signed letters of intent to play football at the collegiate level today. The signing ceremony took place in the gymnasium before the athletes’ families, coaches, and teammates.
Za’Bryan Hood – Tyler Junior College
Position: Wide Receiver
2024 Stats: 53 receptions, 1,073 yards, seven touchdowns
Accolades: 2nd Team All-District (6A-10)
Tyler Legacy Head Coach Beau Trahan: “The Tyler Legacy coaching staff and community are so excited for Zay and his family on his decision to stay home and play college football for Tyler Junior College. In our two years at Tyler Legacy, we have seen Zay grow not only as a wide receiver but also as a leader for our football team. Zay had an elite senior season that saw him lead our district in receiving yards. We can’t wait to continue to watch him at Rose Stadium on Saturday afternoons and to follow him in this next phase of his career.”
Kebraylon Jackson – Texas Wesleyan
2024 Stats: 15 tackles, nine solo tackles, one interception, 135 kickoff return yards
Tyler Legacy Head Coach Beau Trahan: “Tyler Legacy High School could not be prouder and more excited for Kebraylon and his decision to go to school and play football for Texas Wesleyan University. KJ was a dedicated and hardworking member of our team who had a great career for us as a defensive back and kick returner. We are all excited about his future and can’t wait to see all the great things he will achieve in the next chapter of his journey.”
Jaishawn Lee – McMurry University
2024 Stats: 40 total tackles, two blocked field goals
Tyler Legacy Head Coach Beau Trahan: “Red Raider Nation is extremely proud of Jaishawn and his decision to continue his career at McMurry University. Jaishawn had a very productive career for us at Tyler Legacy High School that saw him excel not only on the defensive side of the ball but also as a standout for us on special teams. McMurry is getting a true student of the game, and we are so excited to follow Jaishawn and his career in Abilene, TX.”
Dwayne Williams – Southeastern Oklahoma State University
2024 Stats: 18 total tackles
Tyler Legacy Head Coach Beau Trahan: “Dwayne Williams was a dedicated and hardworking member of our team both on and off the field. He had a great work ethic in practice that translated to games. His commitment and determination have played a key role in building our program. Our community has so much excitement for Dwayne and his family with his decision to continue his journey at Southeastern Oklahoma State University. We wish Dwayne the best and look forward to watching him throughout this next adventure.”
