Tyler Legacy High School’s Abigail Gray was honored in the 2025 “Women with Heart” scholarship contest, earning a $500 scholarship for her submission. The contest, hosted by CHRISTUS Health, challenged students to create videos raising awareness about heart disease in women.
Gray’s video demonstrated a strong understanding of the impact of heart disease and helped spread awareness within the community.
“We wanted them to learn about heart health and specifically the impact heart disease has on women,” said Jamie Moore, clinical director for the CHRISTUS Cardiovascular Center for Excellence. “They all had such great submissions that showed they took the time to learn about heart disease and hopefully gained some valuable knowledge.”
Through this opportunity, Gray showcased creativity, advocacy, and a commitment to educating others on a critical health issue.
