The inaugural "A Red Regal Affair" Women's History Awards Sunday Dinner was a resounding success, bringing together the community to honor outstanding women making a difference in East Texas. Held on March 30, at A Taste of North Delight Restaurant II, the event provided an inspiring and celebratory atmosphere in recognition of Women's History Month.
In partnership with the SisStore Joy Christian Bookstore, the event recognized several remarkable women, including Mrs. Nicole Robinson, Principal of Jones Elementary School, for her leadership and dedication to education. Attendees enjoyed a Southern-style meal while celebrating the achievements of women who have demonstrated excellence in their respective fields.
“Education is not just about imparting knowledge; it's about empowering every student to see beyond their circumstances and to reach for a future that is theirs to shape,” Robinson said. “As educators, we have the responsibility of transforming barriers into opportunities and turning walls into doors."
Council Member Shirley McKellar shared her appreciation for the honorees, stating, "We are honored to recognize these incredible women whose contributions uplift our communities.
