Congratulations to D'Canaan and D’Crystian Sueing, seniors at Tyler High School, for being named District Secondary Students of the Month.

The twin brothers are being recognized for their outstanding leadership, character, and talentβ€”qualities that have consistently set them apart.

Known affectionately to many since their days at Three Lakes Middle School, the Sueing brothers have always stood out for their respectful demeanor, strong values, and quiet confidence. Their former College and Career teacher shared, β€œFrom the moment they stepped into my classroom in 8th grade, I knew they were going to do amazing thingsβ€”and they have.”

Transferring to Tyler High three years ago, the brothers quickly became known not just for their remarkable character, but also for their impact on the football field. Described as β€œgiants,” both D'Canaan and D’Crystian have dominated Friday night lights, racking up local, district, and area honors. Their talent has caught the attention of college recruiters nationwide, and coaches believe they’ll have their pick of schools on National Signing Day.

As student-athletes, the Sueing brothers have represented Tyler High with pride and humility. Their journey is only beginningβ€”and many can’t wait to see their names light up the screen on College Gameday. Congratulations, D'Canaan and D’Crystian!

The Tyler ISD District Students of the Month each receive a certificate and medal, sponsored by CHRISTUS Trinity Mother Frances Health System.

Each month, Tyler ISD recognizes the exemplary efforts of two students, one from our elementary schools and one from our secondary schools, to be honored. Teachers and school principals submit nominations based on students' excellence in many areas, including academics, leadership, campus, and community involvement. These outstanding qualities lead to successful student outcomes both in and outside of the classroom.
