Beginning January 1, parents and students have the power to choose schools and programs that best reflect their child's method of learning. Tyler ISD Magnet School applications will be available for parents and students to apply.
This includes Birdwell Dual Language Immersion School (PreK-8), Caldwell Arts Academy (K-8), Moore MST Magnet School (6-8), and Early College High School (9-12).
Birdwell Dual Language Immersion School (PreK-8) As an immersion program, Birdwell immerses students starting in PreK to develop oral language and literacy skills to become bilingual. Moore MST Magnet School (6-8) Get a magnet school experience with the benefits of a comprehensive middle school. Students have access to an accelerated math track that allows them to take and earn high school credit for Algebra and Geometry by 8th grade. Plus, they offer seven exclusive STEM enrichment courses alongside an entire STEM Engineering program using proprietary systems from LJ Create, engineering hardware, programming software, and 3D printers. Early College High School (9-12)
Attend the #1 ranked high school in East Texas by U.S. News and World Report where students can earn a FREE associate degree from TJC (valued around $30,000) and graduate with a high school diploma at the same time. There are 13 degree plans to choose from and more than 40 dual-credit courses. Students receive free textbook vouchers, TSIA/ACT/SAT Prep, split time between TJC and ECHS, and earn up to 60 transferable credit hours.
