Shoutout to our incredible transportation, maintenance, and custodial team, who started working at 3 AM to ensure safe travels and conditions for our students after icy nights. 🚌🌨️️🧂 We're grateful for their hard work! 🙌 THANK YOU 🙏

District staff have been out inspecting the roads all day and we look forward to welcoming students and staff back to school at the regular time on Wednesday, January 17.

While main roads and streets are in good condition, District staff has confirmed that some city streets and many of the District’s rural roads throughout the county are not passable for buses and vehicles without off-road capabilities.
In order to provide families time to plan for the supervision of their children, Tyler ISD is announcing closure of schools and all activities and games for Tuesday, January 16th, 2024.
District staff will once again inspect conditions tomorrow and communicate plans for Wednesday the 17th.

We are honoring the powerful teachings of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. as our staff continues to educate the next generation to build a brighter future.

REMINDER: No school tomorrow in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. #MLKDay

The forecast for Tyler and the surrounding areas shows harsh winter weather this weekend into early next week. We are closely monitoring the weather situation, making necessary preparations for our schools and facilities, and, as always, are in contact with our local weather experts.
Although we are still a few days out, we want to ensure that we are all prepared for any potential disruptions this weather system may cause, especially considering Monday, January 15, is a student and staff holiday.
Please stay tuned for any school-related updates, including potential weather-related closures beyond Monday, January 15, 2024. All weather updates will be made via TylerISD.org, our Tyler ISD Facebook page, email, and text.
Our students and staff’s safety and well-being are our top priorities. We hope that everyone stays safe and warm as this storm passes through East Texas.

In honor of MLK Day of Service, the National Charity League Tyler Chapter is holding a book drive all January for the Tyler ISD Literacy Bus. 📚 📦 (Pre-K through 6th-grade requested)

It's School Board Recognition Month! 🍎📚 Join us in celebrating our board of trustees for their dedication and commitment to all of Tyler ISD and successful student outcomes. 👏

Courageous and kind. Our law enforcement officers make our students and staff their top priority. A big THANK YOU for their service, not just today but every day! Thank you, Stanley's BBQ, for your support of this incredibly brave team! #LawEnforcementAppreciationDay 💙🚓👮🏽♀️👮🏽

Did you know in 2023, we impacted approximately 1,875 lives at local hospitals through blood drives? 🤯
We had 830 donors (students, faculty, and parents) from Tyler High, Tyler Legacy, and Early College High School who made a difference in our community through donations.
Let's recognize and appreciate them being dedicated blood donors who selflessly give a part of themselves to save lives in honor of National Blood Donor Month!🩸👏
