December STEM Challenge, Gingerbread houses created from brown paper bags!

It’s a Paper Bag House!

The Gingerbread House display is here! Students can create a gingerbread house using a brown paper bag. Students will write their  name, grade level, and teacher on the bottom of the bag and bring it to the library to be displayed during the weeks before Winter Holiday Break.

Student Examples of Ginger'bag' Houses

Supplies:

Brown paper bag (brown lunch sack), construction paper, markers or crayons, scissors, glue, stickers or foam shapes, glitter, macaroni, or any decorative items to glue on. NO CANDY or food items (Eeek! We don’t want ants!), please.

Instructions:

Fill the bottom of the paper bag with newspaper, fold the top, and staple closed. Cut two pieces of construction paper, glue to each side to make the roof. Draw or glue on paper windows and doors, then decorate with markers, stickers, glitter, etc. HAVE FUN!

Note:  Be creative and decorate with things you already have at home.
