Save the date for the 8th annual #SchoolisCool hosted by the City of Tyler, Tyler Area Business Education Council, Tyler Area Chamber of Commerce and Tyler Area Partnership 4 Education! The anticipated back to school event will take place Thursday, Aug. 5 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. (or until supplies last) at Fun Forest Park, located at 900 N. Glenwood, Tyler, Texas.
The goal is to distribute 2,000 backpacks with supplies to kids of all ages enrolled in schools from Pre-K to 12th grade.
This year’s event will take place as a drive-through. There will be no booths or other services offered at this time.
Tyler Area Business Education Council is currently accepting monetary donations and sponsors for this event. Every $30 donation purchases one backpack with supplies.
Donations can be made online on Eventbrite at bit.ly/SchoolisCoolDonations or by mailing a check to 315 N. Broadway Ave. payable to the Tyler Area Business Education Council.
