Tyler ISD will spend the week of May 23-27, exploring our founding documents, honoring our nation's ideals and beliefs of freedom, and celebrating patriotism. We will also spend time recognizing the historical leaders of the past and honoring the sacrifices of our armed forces, both past and present.
Monday, May 23- Liberty Day: Students wear red. Learn about the Declaration of Independence and/or Liberty Bell.
Tuesday, May 24- Patriot Day: Students wear blue. Learn about the Star Spangles Banner.
Wednesday, May 25- Preamble Day: Students dress their best or as a community helper/wear white. Learn about the Preamble to the Constitution.
Thursday, May 26- Military Hero Day: Students dress like a soldier. (camo, uniform, military branch t-shirts). Learn about our national symbol the Eagle.
Friday, May 27- Flag Day: Students wear red, white, and blue. Learn about the American Flag.
