In the end, it was 8th grader Gael Vega who emerged victorious, claiming the coveted title of Checkmate II Champion. Gael’s strategic brilliance and unwavering determination propelled him to the top, showcasing his growth since last year’s competition, where he secured the second-place position.

Eighth grader Raymundo Rangel secured the second-place spot, demonstrating exceptional skill and resilience throughout the tournament. Seventh grader Adrian Zavala clinched third place, showcasing his strategic insight and composure under pressure. Eighth grader David Porcayo-Marcial’s impressive performance earned him the fourth-place position, while 8th grader Oscar Palacios rounded off the top five with his commendable display of tactical prowess.
