Social Studies Fair

Boulter Middle School - Social Studies Fair

Last night, November 12, a large crowd stepped into a world of discovery at our annual Social Studies Fair, where students from all grades showcased their knowledge of history, culture, and civics through creative projects. This year's event featured three exciting themes, each representing a unique chapter in our shared global and national history.

6th Grade: Countries of the World

Travel the world without leaving the school! Our 6th-grade students took attendees on a journey through diverse countries and cultures, presenting detailed reports on the geography, history, traditions, and economies of nations from every continent.

7th Grade: Texas Explorers

The 7th-grade explorers transported parents/guardians back to the Age of Discovery, where they recounted the daring adventures of Spanish, French, and Anglo explorers who shaped the early history of Texas. Students learned how these pioneers influenced the state's development and the blending of cultures that would define Texas for centuries to come.

8th Grade: The Bill of Rights and Founding Fathers

The 8th-grade students dove deep into the foundations of American democracy, focusing on the Bill of Rights and the visionary Founding Fathers who shaped the nation. From a portrayal of Benjamin Franklin’s diplomacy to a breakdown of the rights guaranteed by the First Amendment, these exhibits provided insight into the birth of the United States.
