A note from Mrs. Cureton:

Thank you all for a successful and fun week of learning! We have had a blast celebrating unity & connectedness on campus during Start with Hello Week! If you haven't had a chance to check out some great moments from this week, be sure to head over to our campus Facebook page! We also had a great turnout at Open House. We appreciate your support in your student's learning this year and were so glad to see so many families last night!

Spirit Gear is now for sale! For more details, please visit the Clarkston PTA Facebook page. We will be sending home paper order forms with all students on Tuesday of next week. Our front office also has order forms available. PTA is only taking cash or checks for shirt orders at this time. To place your order, please complete the order form & place your order form with your payment in a sealed envelope. Then, please have your student (or you can bring to office yourself) bring the sealed envelope to the front office to place your order in the PTA lock box (located in our front office). One of our PTA officers will check the lock box weekly to collect orders and get your order fulfilled. ALL order forms are due no later than October 13th.

Our PTA supports several of the events happening on campus this year. We encourage all of our families to join the Clarkston PTA-moms, dads, aunts, uncles, and even grandparents can join! Your $8.50 yearly membership goes directly back into supporting Clarkston students. As a PTA member, you can choose your level of involvement-whether that’s simply paying your annual membership fee or helping PTA plan school events such as the fall carnival, field day, class parties, and other fun events on campus. Arrival Procedures:

All students should enter campus through the cafeteria doors each morning. Only students and staff are allowed to enter through the cafeteria doors. Breakfast will be served in the cafeteria, and is free to all students, from 7:00am-7:45am. Any student arriving to campus after 7:50am will need to have a parent walk them in through the front entrance doors.

Dismissal Procedures:

Parents should complete an After-School Action Plan(with classroom teacher) so that teachers and staff have a written plan for each student. Parents must call the front office or submit a written request for student dismissal changes by 2:30 p.m. each day.

Students in grades pre-k, kindergarten, and first will not be allowed to dismiss as "walkers". They must have an older sibling at Clarkston to walk home with them.

Parents may pick up their child by signing him/her out through the office (before 2:30pm). Students will be released only to persons listed for student pick-up. Anyone picking up a student shall be required to show valid identification. When possible, schedule appointments during non-school times (After school, Student Holidays…)
