5th graders creating circuits in 5th grade science class

This week our 5th grade students learned about circuits in Mrs. Johnson's science class. They worked together to create a large-scale model of an open and closed circuit.

Students are learning that circuits are the core components of electrical and electronic systems, allowing the controlled flow of electric current to power devices. These circuits comprise interconnected electrical elements like wires, resistors, capacitors, and transistors. Conductors, such as metals, facilitate electron flow, while insulators like rubber prevent it. This knowledge is vital for designing, building, and troubleshooting electronics, enabling the efficient transfer of electrical energy for various applications.
