This month Clarkston is celebrating ROCKtober to add excitement to this busy month. Each day is a dress up day or staff receive a surprise or treat.
Yesterday, our staff took part in Derby Day in which staff wore their best Kentucky Derby hats.
The Kentucky Derby is an iconic American horse racing event held annually on the first Saturday of May at Churchill Downs in Louisville, Kentucky. It's the first leg of the Triple Crown series, featuring top thoroughbred horses and jockeys in a 1.25-mile race. Known for its rich traditions and festive atmosphere, it dates back to 1875 and remains a prominent fixture in American sports and culture.
Guest judges from the Tyler Junior College women's basketball team determined the winners.
