math pumpkins displayed in the hallway outside a pre-k class

Pre-K is preparing for their upcoming Fall field trip to the Pumpkin Patch. In anticipation of this trip, Mrs. Busby's students created their own Jack-O-Lanterns using shapes they have learned about during their math lessons. Mrs. Busby was excited to make the connection between math and the arts!

Teaching math with the arts is vital as it offers a creative, engaging approach to learning. By incorporating the arts, math concepts become more tangible and relatable. Whether through music, visual arts, or dance, students can explore mathematical principles, fostering creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving. This interdisciplinary approach accommodates diverse learning styles and instills a deeper appreciation for both math and the arts.
