pre-k students listening to a story from a guest reader on the day they are wearing their book character costumes

Mrs. Busby's Pre-K class has started a new tradition! They will have a guest reader visit their classroom each month to share a special story.

This month Mrs. Tracey came to read "We're Going on a Bear Hunt!" Our Pre-K students enjoyed listening to this story read by their special guest.

Guest readers at schools are vital in instilling a passion for reading and building a sense of community. These volunteers, often from diverse backgrounds and professions, emphasize the significance of literacy and education. They bring fresh perspectives, share personal experiences, and inspire students to explore the world of books. Additionally, they serve as role models and strengthen the school-community connection, enriching the educational experience and leaving a lasting impression on young readers.
