Last week Clarkston hosted Math, Makers, and More Night where families were invited to try some activities based on STEM, arts & crafts, and math. PTA also hosted a pancake dinner.

Involving families in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) activities for elementary school students is paramount in nurturing a holistic approach to learning and fostering a supportive educational environment.

Engaging families in STEM activities not only strengthens the connection between home and school but also reinforces the importance of STEM education in everyday life.

By participating in hands-on STEM experiences alongside their children, parents and caregivers become active partners in their child's learning journey, promoting curiosity, exploration, and problem-solving skills.

Ultimately, by embracing family involvement in STEM, schools empower students to see themselves as capable learners and contributors to the ever-evolving world of science and technology.
