A Note from Mrs. Cureton:

We had a great day today exploring careers around our community. Thank you to our community members and parents who came today to help us provide this experience for our kids! Check out our Facebook page for a recap of this event!

Next week brings a very busy schedule on campus as we arrive at the last 4.5 days of school! If you are planning to come to grade level awards, completion ceremonies, or end of year parties, you will need to obtain a visitors pass in our front office. Lines will likely be long to check in for these events--we encourage all parents/family members coming to visit the front office before your student's event and get a visitor pass ahead of time! This will save you time on the day/time of your student's event!

Yearbooks: If you have pre-ordered a yearbook, we have currently received about 75% of our yearbook orders from Lifetouch. Lifetouch had a shipping delay, but has promised to get the remaining yearbooks to us ASAP. I (Mrs. Cureton) will be calling families affected by this delay next week to relay delivery information as I get that from Lifetouch. I apologize for this inconvenience and share your frustration in getting these yearbooks ASAP. If your student's yearbook is in, they will go home with your student on Monday (May 20th) of next week.

Talent Show: If your student is participating in the talent show & you would like to come watch, we would love to have you! Our Talent Show is Monday, May 20th @1:30pm, in the cafe. Please check in at the front office and obtain a visitors badge to attend.

Academy Awards: Join us as we celebrate accomplishments of all our students during grade level award ceremonies! See graphic below with dates and times for each ceremony. Come early to get your visitor badge so that you are not stuck waiting in long lines at the office.

Pre-K Promotion Ceremony: Thursday, May 23rd, 9:00am. Please join us as we celebrate a year of growth and learning for our pre-k Cougars! This event will be held in the Clarkston cafe. All visitors must check in at the front office & bring a valid ID. Come early to get your visitor badge so that you are not stuck waiting in long lines at the office. To help us keep our facility in top shape, we ask that guests do not bring balloons or confetti into the cafe for the ceremony.

5th Grade Promotion Ceremony: Thursday, May 23rd, 1:30pm. Please join us as we celebrate our 5th graders' end of an era in elementary school! This event will be held in the Clarkston cafe. All visitors must check in at the front office & bring a valid ID. Come early to get your visitor badge so that you are not stuck waiting in long lines at the office. To help us keep our facility in top shape, we ask that guests do not bring balloons or confetti into the cafe for the ceremony.

End of Year Parties: Friday, May 24th. See flyer below for grade level party times. Contact your child's teacher with any questions about grade level parties. Parents are welcome to attend parties--you must check in with front office & receive a visitor badge before going to the parties. Come early to get your visitor badge so that you are not stuck waiting in long lines at the office.

Early Release Day: Friday, May 24th. Students will be released @12:30pm on this day. Boys and Girls Club(BGC) will NOT be open on the 24th--any students who attend BGC will need an alternative plan for dismissal @12:30 on this day.

Arrival Procedures

ALL students should enter campus through the cafeteria doors each morning. Only students and staff are allowed to enter through the cafeteria doors. Breakfast will be served in the cafeteria, and is free to all students, from 7:00am-7:45am. Any student arriving to campus after 7:50am will need to have a parent walk them in through the front entrance doors.
