What a great week in Cougar Nation! We have now completed all beginning of the year assessments (k-5) and are excited to start setting goals and tracking progress with our students next week!

Kinder--5th Families: you will recieve a copy of your student's iReady diagnostic assessment results (for reading and math) no later than Friday, September 8th. If you do not recieve your student's report or have questions, please contact your student's teacher.

Kinder--2nd Families: you will recieve a copy of your student's mClass diagnostic assessment results (for reading only) no later than Friday, September 8th. If you do not recieve your student's report or have questions, please contact your student's teacher. Pre-K Families: your student(s) will complete their beginning of the year assessments during the month of September. Once assessments are complete, you will receive your student's data.

Labor Day--Monday, Sept. 2nd...NO School-Staff & Student Holiday.

Tyler Legacy & East Texas Food Bank Pantry Raid:

Calling all Cougars! We need your help in collecting items for the 34th annual Tyler Legacy Pantry Raid, benefitting the East Texas Food Bank. Our campus will collect non-perishable items/monetary donations Tuesday, September 3rd--Friday, September 6th. The elementary campus with the most items & monetary donations will win FREE Kona Ice for the entire campus! Let's win this challenge and help out a great cause! Students/parents can drop off your non-perishable items at our front office. Morning Arrival & Afternoon Dismissal:

Parents/Guardians-we need your help in keeping our arrival and dismissal car lines running smoothly, safely, and efficiently! Please stay in your vehicles during morning arrival and afternoon pick up. A staff member will help your student out of the vehicle or put them in the vehicle. This helps our line to move quickly and ensures your safety in the car line. Thank you for your help and support!

Kona Ice Day:

Kona Ice Day is coming Friday, September 6th! A paper flyer will come home on Tuesday, September 3rd,for families to order a snocone for their student(s). To order now, please use the link below: Online order code:

Grandfriends Day:

Friday, September 6th, 7:15am--7:50am. Calling all grandfriends! We can't wait for you to join us for a light breakfast and games in the library! If you have a grandfriend that would like to attend, we encourage them to come to the front office the day before to have their license scanned for quicker entry on the day of the event! Open House:

Join us for Open House on Wednesday, September 18th, from 5:15pm-6:30pm. Please make plans to join us and learn more about academic expectations for all grade levels & how you can best support your student this year! Kona Ice will be on campus for a cold treat!

Clarkston Spirit Night @Rose Stadium:

Please join us as we cheer on our Tyler Legacy Red Raiders as they face Rockwall-Heath on Friday, September 27th! Students will meet Mrs. Cureton & other Clarkston staff members at the gates to enter the field @6:30pm. More details to come as the date approaches!
