Yesterday, we hosted Grandfriends' Day in our library media center. Grandfriends were welcome to join us for breakfast and games with their Clarkston student. Thank you to everyone who came and helped support our Cougars!
Grandparents play a pivotal role in the lives of their grandchildren, and their involvement in school can be incredibly beneficial. When grandparents engage with their grandchild's education, it fosters a stronger support system, offering children a sense of stability, wisdom, and encouragement. Their presence at school events or participation in classroom activities not only strengthens family bonds but also enhances the child's motivation and self-esteem.
Grandparents often provide unique perspectives and life experiences that enrich learning, helping to bridge generational gaps and promote values like responsibility, respect, and the importance of education. Their involvement also helps build a stronger school community, reinforcing the idea that education is a shared responsibility across generations.
