A note from Mrs. Cureton:
What a fun week we have had celebrating some GOAL GETTERS this week! This week, we started our first MVP Day and that brought some great celebrations to our classrooms. Twice a month, we will randomly pick 4-5 classrooms and celebrate the growth of students in that classroom! Students get an opportunity to show off their data tracking notebook and be celebrated for their growth. Check out our Facebook page for pics during our first round of MVP celebrations! Can't wait to celebrate more growth at the end of the month!
Open House:
Join us for Open House on Wednesday, September 18th, from 5:15pm-6:30pm. 4th & 5th grade will start us off for the night, in the cafe, with a special dance they have worked on with Mrs. Alford. Families in attendance will be entered to win a family fun night gift basket-complete with games, candy, popcorn, & more!
Attendance Awareness:
Did you know that tardies, even just 5 minutes late, equals missed learning opportunities? Our day begins @7:50am, with Morning Meeting-a crucial time each day where we make connections and build relationships with students and teachers. Please help us support your student best by getting them to school no later than 7:50am.

Clarkston PTA Spirit Week @ LOCAL Car Wash:
Help PTA raise funds for student events and get a clean car...that's a win-win! Stop by LOCAL Car Wash, on South Broadway by Kohls, September 23rd-27th and wash your car! A portion of your car wash fees will be donated to Clarkston. Thank you for supporting our school!
Pizza by the Slice:
Our first Pizza by the Slice day is coming up! Friday, September 27th. The pizza slices are the larger slice size, are $2 each, and are delivered to students @2pm on the day of the event. Please be on the look out for a flyer coming home on Thursday, September 19th, with ordering details.
Clarkston Spirit Night @Rose Stadium:
Please join us as we cheer on our Tyler Legacy Red Raiders as they face Rockwall-Heath on Friday, September 27th! Students will meet Mrs. Cureton & other Clarkston staff members at the gates to enter the field @6:30pm. More details to come as the date approaches!
