The past 7 weeks of school have flown by and fall is in the air! We hope that you will join us this month for Book Fair, Fall Festival, & our Book Character Parade. So many fun things happening during the month of October!
Thank you to everyone who contributed to the PTA luncheon for our staff this past Thursday! We appreciate all of the support and love you show our amazing teachers!
Picture day is this coming Wednesday, October 5th. Order forms were sent home with students this week.
Our fall break is fast approaching! Students will be released at 12:30pm on Thursday, October 13th, and will not have school on Friday, October 14th. If your student attends Boys and Girls Club after school, they will not be open on Thursday, October 13th--please make plans to have your student picked up from school at 12:30pm. Our students that normally ride Tyler ISD busses home, will ride the bus home at the early release time.
PTA is collecting bags of individually wrapped candy for our Fall Festival! If you are able to donate a bag of candy for the festival, please send with your student to school. We will be collecting bags of candy from Tuesday, October 4th--Thursday, October 20th.
Our PTA supports several of the events happening on campus this year. We encourage all of our families to join the Clarkston PTA-moms, dads, aunts, uncles, and even grandparents can join! Your $7 yearly membership goes directly back into supporting Clarkston students. As a PTA member, you can choose your level of involvement-whether that’s simply paying your annual membership fee or helping PTA plan school events such as the fall carnival, field day, class parties, and other fun events on campus. Cougar Nation Reminders:
--Please drop off by 7:50am. Our tardy bell rings at that time & we want our Cougars ready to learn with us! The cafeteria entrance is open from 7:00am-7:50am. Any students arriving after 7:50am must come to the front entrance and be checked in at the front office by an adult.
--All visitors must check in at the front office and have a valid ID with them.
--We cannot release students after 2:30pm due to dismissal procedures. If you have appointments, please make arrangements to pick up by this time or you will be asked to wait until dismissal at 3:10pm.

What is your favorite Hispanic dish? We would love to see a video of you making it. Send the Tyler ISD Communications Department a video and get entered for a drawing to dinner for 4 at Chuy's Tex-Mex Restaurant.
