Our 1st graders had fun making slime for Fun Friday! 🧪💚 Students who showed excellent behavior all week earned this exciting reward—so proud of their hard work! 🎉👏

Our 3rd graders were getting performance-ready! 🇲🇽✨ Yesterday, students explored Mexican culture as they learned about Cinco de Mayo, sombreros, maracas, and papel picado—and even created their own! This hands-on learning helped build their background knowledge as they got ready to watch the Mexico 2000 performance. 💃🪇🎉

Our 3rd and 4th graders had an amazing experience watching the Mexico 2000 dance performance! 🇲🇽✨ Students were immersed in the vibrant culture, music, and traditions of Mexico through beautiful costumes and energetic dances. What a fun and engaging way to bring learning to life! 💃🎶

We loved welcoming graduating seniors from Tyler High School and Tyler Legacy High School for their Senior Walk today! 🎓 Our students were so excited to line the halls and cheer them on—it was such a special moment seeing the seniors in their caps and gowns. 💙✨ It was extra special to see some of our former Clarkston Cougars now graduating—what a proud, full-circle moment for our campus! 🐾🎉

School Lunch Heroes Day is easy to celebrate when you have a crew like we do! Thank you, Ms. Kelly, Ms. Richardson, & Ms. Ramirez! ❤️🐾

Today was “K” for Kindness in our ABC Countdown! ☁️💙 In Miss Graves’ Kindergarten class, students created special “kindness clouds” and chose someone meaningful to give them to. They filled each cloud with thoughtful adjectives to describe that person—spreading smiles and positivity all around! 😊 Monday is L for Lightsabers and Lemonade. May the Fourth be with you! 🌟

In addition to all the fun of “J” for Jersey Day, Mrs. Busby’s Kindergarten class had an extra sweet reason to celebrate—they published their classroom book! 📚 To mark the occasion, students enjoyed Jell-O cups as they celebrated their hard work and creativity. Way to go, young authors! 🎉

Today was “J” for Jersey in our ABC Countdown, and our Pre-K and Kindergarten students showed up in style sporting their favorite jerseys! 🏈⚽🏀 It was so fun seeing all the team spirit across our campus. Tomorrow is “K” for Kindness 💙 Students will be spreading positivity by completing acts of kindness throughout the day!

Today was a sweet one in our Pre-K and Kindergarten ABC Countdown—“I” was for Ice Cream! 🍦 Our students had so much fun celebrating, and some of our Kindergarten classes even got creative with Mrs. Smith making puffy paint ice cream masterpieces. It was the perfect mix of fun and learning! We can’t wait for tomorrow—“J” is for Jersey, so don’t forget to wear your favorite jersey! 🏈⚽🏀

We would like to extend a huge thank you to the TJC Theatre Department for once again delighting our Pre-K through 2nd grade students with their wonderful performances of King Midas and the Golden Touch 👑 and Snow White 🍎 ! Our students look forward to this special visit each year, and your talented performers never disappoint. Thank you for bringing these stories to life in such a fun and engaging way—we truly appreciate this cherished tradition! 🎭✨

Today was such a special day on our campus! Our classrooms were filled with energy and excitement as high school students stepped in to lead **JA in a Day** lessons. They did an amazing job guiding our younger students through hands-on activities focused on real-world skills like money management, careers, and teamwork.

Our students loved learning from “big kids,” and it was incredible to see leadership, confidence, and connections being built across grade levels. We’re so grateful for the time and effort these high school volunteers poured into making today meaningful and fun! 💙

Mrs. Brittain in 3rd grade is bringing *The Tiger Rising* to life in the most creative way! During their novel study, she showed off her artistic skills by transforming her classroom door into a fierce tiger 🐅and creating a display of the Kentucky Star Motel ⭐🏨—making the story jump right off the pages for her students.

*The Tiger Rising* by Kate DiCamillo follows a young boy named Rob who discovers a caged tiger in the woods behind a motel where he lives. As he forms unexpected friendships and faces his own emotions, the story explores themes of grief, courage, and the importance of letting feelings be felt. 🐅✨
