TylerISD and the Career and Technology Center's hosted the annual showcase Your Future is Now! Middle schoolers and families participated in CTE-level activities throughout each of our pathways while gaining 'Rocket Dollars'. Rocket Dollars were collected and used or prizes and treats as they exited the event. The turnout was stellar, the CTE Student-to-middle school interactivity was phenomenal. Seeing not only the middle school students have that 'spark' concerning learning CTE level activities, but the CTC Student Leadership students smile ear-to-ear while helping made the night a complete success. Culinary students helped middle schoolers decorate cookies, Health Science students help local youth with patient care and kinesiology, Criminal Justice students walked other through a crime scene, Cosmetology students helped with painting nails and hairstyles, Graphic Design and 3D Modeling students showed students how to create objects in 2D and 3D, while the Auto Collision students showed off some awesome local cars. Around the building, other local businesses, programs from middle school, high school and Early College High School passed out information and engaged with families. Thank you Tyler for turning out!
