CTC's Teacher of the Year, Mrs. Shirley Chandler, guided her Education students in a Playground Project this week. Students were tasked with researching different types of playgrounds, sketching ideas with details, then began physically creating models in class. A few of the students took the project farther and began creating a special needs playground.
This real-world experience and opportunity to think about others' needs is vital for these future educators. Way to go Mrs. Chandler and the Education students!
