cosmocosmocosmocosmocosmoTyler ISD and The Career & Technology Cosmetology II students were challenged by Cosmetology teacher, Ms. Zuber, to a timed trial-run for an important aspect of their future State Board Certification. The objectives during this pre-certification were foil highlight application service, hydroxide virgin relaxer service, hydroxide relaxer retouch service, and end of examination disinfection. Each student had their own mannequin, along with specific tools and instruction from Ms. Zuber.

In Cosmetology II, students have the opportunity to demonstrate proficiency in academic, technical, and practical knowledge and skills. The content is designed to provide the occupational skills required for licensure. Instruction includes advanced training in professional standards/employability skills; Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) rules and regulations; use of tools, equipment, technologies and materials; and practical skills. Cosmetology II Lab provides instruction and content directly aligned to the licensure requirements as established by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR).
