Tyler ISD joins school districts across the nation in recognizing Career and Technical Education (CTE) Monthยฎ this February, celebrating the achievements and accomplishments of CTE programs and their impact on studentsโ futures.
Nearly 4,400 students at the Career & Technology Center are gaining hands-on experience and earning industry certifications that prepare them for success in high-wage, high-demand careers. Through work-based learning opportunities, students apply classroom knowledge in real-world settings, gaining valuable skills that make them highly competitive in the workforce.
โIn Tyler ISD, we currently offer 24 programs of study that prepare students for a wide variety of careers, whether they choose to continue their education at the collegiate level or enter directly into the workforce after graduation,โ Executive Director of College and Career Dr. Kristen Walls said. โCareer and Technical Education programs are an essential part of preparing students for success in whichever path they choose.โ
