Tyler ISD and The Career & Technology Center's Advanced Marketing students participated in the University of Texas at Tyler mock interviews at the John Soules School of Business. Students participated in networking and mock interviewing with local businesses, as well as others from the Houston and Dallas area. Each year, Professor Gail Johnson, hosts the even for her graduating university seniors and generously invites Tyler ISD CTC students.

Seniors in the Practicum of Human Services class toured the East Texas Food Bank to learn more about the positive impact they have on our community and spent the morning volunteering.

Our Tyler ISD and Career & Technology Culinary Arts students, guided by CTC instructors, Chef Strother and Chef Bridges, created beautiful, delicious 'tabletop desserts' this week. Cheesecakes were the main theme as students not only created the desserts, but created custom sauces for them as well. Full engagement, full bellies!









Our Culinary students are putting the finishing touches on the Cafe menu. Taste testing the Buttermilk Chicken Sliders with house made chips! Cafe hours coming soon...



Over 400 students are meeting with business and industry professionals for the Resume Workshop at the CTC today! Thank you to our community partners for spending the day our students and sharpening their employability skills!

π Holiday Baking Magic! π Our talented culinary students rolled up their sleeves and crafted stunning gingerbread houses completely from scratch. From mixing the perfect dough to designing intricate decorations, they turned sweet creativity into delicious holiday art!






8th graders from across the district have enjoyed CTE 8th Grade Exploration days where they get to learn about the Tyler ISD CTE Programs of Study and visit with high school students from each program.

Tyler ISD Health Science juniors participated in the CHRISTUS Rise Up Conference today for an inside look at working in healthcare.




The opening day for the CTC Salon was a success! Over 30 clients received services such as facials, haircuts, styles, and presses. We will open again on December 12th from 3:00 - 6:00 pm. Call 903-262-1910 to schedule your appointment!





The Tyler ISD and Career & Technology Center Culinary Arts students had the opportunity to meet world renowned chef and author, Alex Guarnaschelli at UT Tyler at an event highlighting the award-winning chef. Students prepared some of Chef Guarnaschelli's recipes which were served at the event. Career & Technology's Culinary Arts instructor, Chef Strother, and Culinary Assistant, Ms. Flores, facilitated the student work, which was a complete success.

60 Tyler ISD students attended Discovery Day at Texas State Technical College in Waco. It was a great day to explore post secondary option in high wage career paths.
