Our March Madness Reading Challenge begins today! This challenge is similar to our Winter Reading Challenge. Students will bring home a reading log today. Each class' progress will be recorded on a bracket weekly. There will be a a K/1 bracket, 2/3 bracket, and a 4/5 bracket. During the first week, classes will be "knocked out" of the bracket until there are only six classes remaining. These classes will make up the "Sweet Six". During the second week, classes will continue to be "knocked out" until only the Final Four remain. During the third week, the remaining classes will battle it out for the national championship! The winners will win several prizes! At the end of the challenge the MVR, Most Valuable Reader will be chosen from each grade level. Those winners will have dessert with the principals! So get reading!

Dixie Elementary Parents, Our fundraiser got off to a good start, but the weather stopped our momentum. So here is our re-kickstart plan! -Friday, our rep, Mr. Money is bringing hot pizzas, ice cream, sports balls, Grand Slam gift cards, candy and other incentives during all lunches. Students who turn in money or have online sales on Friday will have their names placed into a drawing and will be given an opportunity to win these cool prizes! -Be sure to read the parent letter and sign up for the online store. You can send links by email and social media and your child gets credit for all these items as well. We are so excited about how much progress we've made so far, let's finish strong!
