Hubbard Middle School sixth grader Aubree Madison is a young swimmer with dreams as big as her accomplishments. The 11-year-old is a nationally ranked swimmer and has achieved remarkable success with her sights set on competing in the Olympics one day.
Recently, Aubree competed in six individual events at the National AAU Junior Olympics in North Carolina, where she emerged victorious in every single event she entered, even those with up to 118 swimmers. When asked how she felt when she learned she earned first place in all her events, Aubree replied, “I was excited and happy and proud of myself.”
“She’s got that combination of natural talent, work ethic, and then that intangible, I call it the eye of the tiger,” Tyler Rose Aquatics Development Coach Stan McDonald said. “She’s got the eye of the tiger; she’s a racer. And that’s what it takes to get to that next level, and I expect her to go to the next level.”
Aubree encourages other athletes to concentrate on their goals and to keep pushing themselves to achieve them. “My parents, brothers, coaches, and family push me and motivate me, even when I feel like I don’t want to do it,” she said.
Aubree’s swimming career began in 2021, and she has already achieved so much with her incredible talent and dedication. Tyler ISD is proud to celebrate her achievements and mark the beginning of what promises to be an impressive swimming journey for this young athlete.
