We are excited to partner with the Junior League of Tyler this year for their Girl Power event on January 21, 2023!
The mission of Girl Power is to encourage positive self-esteem, promote a healthy lifestyle, inspire volunteerism and develop leadership potential in the 6th grade girls of Smith County. The event will include a service project the girls will participate in which will benefit our local community.
This year’s Girl Power Event will take place January 21st from 9:00 am-3:00 pm at UT Tyler in the University Center (main college campus) with check-in at 8:15am. The Girl Power Event will focus on self-value, mental health, education, civic engagement, future planning, with hands-on demonstrations and expert speakers. The service project for this event will be making blankets to benefit the Children’s Advocacy Center of Smith County.
