What can make 8th graders laugh uncontrollably?? Cutting holes in paper and drawing small bodies. Our "Effective Communication Unit" included verbal, non verbal, visual and written skills. All of these skills are practiced everyday with everyone here at Hubbard but taken to another level in Mrs. Studinka’s professional communication class. Go Huskies! 🧡🐾

Our 6th grade Huskies had the amazing opportunity to attend the annual Girl Power Summit today, hosted by the Junior League of Tyler. The mission of Girl Power is to encourage positive self esteem, promote a healthy lifestyle, inspire volunteerism and develop leadership potential. They participated in a service project making blankets for the CAC of Smith County. They learned about internet safety, mindfulness, did a little yoga and learned some self defense! They even got to meet Olympic Swimmer Natalie Hinds! Way to go Huskies! 🧡🐾💕💪
