Ja'Nayan Manning, TylerISD's secondary district student of the month

Congratulations to Ja'Nayan Manning, senior at Tyler Legacy High School, for being named the District Secondary Student of the Month for February.

Ja'Nayan has been accepted into 14 colleges and universities and has earned more than $350,000 in scholarships! 

Ja’Nayan is actively involved in Student Council and AVID and even started a student organization called AVID Ambassadors that seeks to help fellow Red Raiders navigate the college application process and mentor underclassmen.   He recently competed in DECA in the Sports Entertainment & Marketing category and will be competing at the State Competition next month.  He participated in the Stock Market Challenge, the UT Tyler Soules College of Business Mock Interviews, and earned a Microsoft Certification in CTE Business Management Pathway.

Teachers brag that Ja’Nayan is proactive, hardworking, and always expresses a grateful and optimistic attitude. He also spends time volunteering in the community and at school events.   Congratulations, Ja'Nayan!  We are so proud of you!
