Legacy's September Staff of the Month is Jordan Mooney! Mrs. Mooney is a math teacher who goes above and beyond for our students and school.
I am so honored to be chosen as the staff member of the month as we have so many wonderful teachers and staff here at Tyler Legacy! This is my 10th year of teaching, 9 of which have been here at Legacy. I teach Algebra 2 PAP and AP Statistics. My hope for my students every year is that they leave my classroom liking math at least a little more than they did when they first came in. I am the coach of our UIL Calculator and Accounting teams and also enjoy leading our Key Club students in community service opportunities for our school and the local Tyler area. We have the best students & staff around, so coming to work every day makes teaching & learning so much fun! When I'm not teaching or out supporting my students, I enjoy spending time with my husband and four girls going to the park, taking trips out of town, & working out.
Fun fact about Mrs. Mooney: Coffee, street tacos, and queso are essentials in life!
