We are thrilled to announce Tyler Legacy's Teacher of the Month for February is Ms. Chandra Hayter.
This is my 15th year in education, all at Legacy, and I'm proud to teach at my Alma Matter. I'm a lifelong Tylerite, and it's important for me to work and serve in my community.
I've always taught some level of Geography. However, the last few years I've been fortunate to teach World History and African American Studies.
I'm currently the Chair for Black History Month activities and celebrations on Legacy Campus.
My absolutely favorite thing about Tyler Legacy is graduation. As a Freshmen teacher, it makes me proud to see how much our students have grown and matured over their High School career. Seeing them finally walk across the stage is culmination of their hard work, as well as the diligence and dedication of their awesome teachers.
Fun Fact:
In the Faith based community, I'm a teacher, speaker, and author currently finishing up my second book.
