Football season is underway, and the Tyler Legacy Varsity football team kicked it off with a Red Raider family tradition.
“I started this program while at Colleyville Heritage and have always looked forward to the ‘Moms, Dads, and Decals’ event," Red Raider Head Coach Joe Willis said. "With the players' busy schedules and parents not always having meaningful time with them, we felt like this gave us an opportunity before the first game to include them in something that we know as a rite of passage for players. The varsity football team is the only team that wears the decals, and it symbolizes not only the accomplishment of playing varsity football, but also the embarking on a journey like no other; the beginning of high school football and the boys of Fall in Texas.”
