Our Legacy staff of the month is Sam Labordus. Mr. Labordus was voted on by the staff of Legacy for his outstanding work in and out of the classrooms with students and leading our amazing band program. Mr. Labordus builds strong relationships with all of his band students and is always championing them.
Mr. Labordus teaches all areas of the Legacy band program including Wind Ensemble, Marching Band, and Jazz Band. He has been teaching for 13 years and been at Legacy for 6 years. When asked what his favorite thing about Legacy was he said, "I love the family environment that I get to teach in. I am surrounded by fantastic students and colleagues."
Some things you may not have known about Mr. Labordus is that he is originally from Nanaimo, Canada, and did not become an American citizen until 2019. He is also distantly related to Henry VIII and a die-hard Dallas Stars fan. Coffee, BBQ, and peanut butter are his three main food groups.
