We loved district convocation this morning and are ready to take on this school year!
We had such a great turnout for our Freshmen Fish Camp tonight at Tyler Legacy. We loved getting to meet our new incoming Raiders! Students had time to meet with Principal Sherman, teachers, and other Legacy staff members, pick up their schedules, tour campus, and explore the many clubs and organizations we offer at Tyler Legacy.

We had a fun, jam packed day of professional development and learning today at Tyler Legacy. Our own Legacy teachers and assistant principals led our first annual "Legacy Leads" professional learning conference on campus. Staff chose 6 professional development sessions to attend throughout the day over a variety of different topics in preparation for the upcoming school year.
We want to thank all our teacher leaders who did a wonderful job preparing and presenting for this conference! Who better to learn from than your own teacher peers?

Congratulations to our Southern Belle Drill Team officers! Last week they attended an officer camp at Encore in Dallas. Their first routine was a blue ribbon and a Judge's award for favorite in hip hop. Their second routine also won a blue ribbon and two Judge's award for polish and Judge's favorite in jazz.

Earlier this year, College Board shared some exciting news with Tyler Legacy High School about the talented students who were awarded academic honors through the National Recognition Programs this school year. At the start of the 2022-23 school year, College Board awarded more than 66,000 students from across the country for their outstanding performance in the classroom and on College Board assessments.

Today Legacy senior Brenden Mitchell signed his letter of commitment to powerlift at the university level for Blue Mountain College. Family, friends, teammates, and coaches watched as he signed his letter. Coach Beaton shared that Brenden is a hardworking kid who is a friend to all. Way to go Brenden!
