Orr Elementary is excited to kick off its new after-school STEAM Club, specifically for 3rd, 4th, and 5th-grade girls, inspiring them in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics. The club held its first meeting last week, welcoming students with hands-on activities and discussions about the wonders of STEAM fields.
The third graders will have dedicated meetings every Wednesday after school, where theyβll dive into fun, age-appropriate projects designed to spark curiosity and build foundational skills. The 4th and 5th-grade girls will meet on Thursdays, where theyβll take on more advanced challenges, emphasizing creativity, teamwork, and critical thinking.
This club is designed to foster a passion for STEAM subjects in a supportive environment, helping young girls explore their potential and develop confidence in their abilities. By engaging in experiments, creative projects, and problem-solving activities, students will see how science and technology relate to the real world. Orr Elementary is proud to offer this opportunity and looks forward to seeing the club grow as more girls join and discover the possibilities that STEAM can offer!
